Pale pink, chiffon and warm sunshine, I’m Spring happy actually!

I’m sure many of you will agree with me that as the weather gets warmer our mood gets happier!

So, on this sixty something degrees Spring day, I was feeling warm and fuzzy inside.

I picked out my soft pink chiffon blouse and paired it with my wide leg light denim trousers. Hot pink flats rounded out the ensemble.

My head wrap I coordinated with my outfit, (sidebar: I’m stuck on my hair dilemma – to perm or continue on my natural hair journey) dusted off and rocked my pink sunglasses, an absolute fav of mine!

So to all my ladies getting ready to rock this Spring and Summer, remember to add color to your outfit, could be a little or a lot!

Tired of dull winter skin? Make it happy for Spring!

Hey all of my Spring happy friends!

I know winter was probably rough on your skin as it was on mine, I mean it just sucks out all of the moisture and leaves us looking a hot desert dry mess!!

But, I think I found the solution!

My friend Kena, a genius in all things natural and vegan offered me a sample of her natural skin moisturizer, and I immediately fell in love!

After my shower I applied it to my damp skin and was transformed. My dry skin became luxuriously soft and babylike!

The great thing is it comes in a variety of flavors;

shea, breezy coconut, rose petals, lavender and shea coconut blend.

My most passionate Easter experience to remember!!

via Daily Prompt: Explore

I must share with you my incredible Easter weekend!

I was part of one of the most thrilling experiences of 2018 so far; an interactive indoor / outdoor play re-enacting the last days of Jesus walk on earth, put on by my church.

The authenticity of the experience made it at times extremely sad and overwhelming with  intense inner feelings of gratitude and humility.

Yours truly was an angel who danced in adoration to Jesus at his resurrection. I also danced in the Jerusalem marketplace.

At first I was hesitant to be a part of the dance group but I felt it would be something interesting to explore, a way to push  out of my comfort zone.

It was one of my best decisions this year thus far!

So, enjoy the collage, let me know what you think.

Double-duty with your Spring scarf!

via Daily Prompt: Frantic

So it feels like Spring 2018 has finally sprung, and we absolutely need to look like it!

With that said, the scarf is an under-rated accessory that us ladies should put a bit if energy into.

For myself it serves several purposes, and I have pics below showing you two of the ways I used the same scarf.

It all started one day when in a frantic, desperate effort to cover a major bad hair day, I grabbed my animal print scarf and wrapped my hair. I really don’t know where that inspiration came from because  I had only used it as a neck scarf.

I was pleasantly surprised by how chic it looked and from then on my scarves have been doing double duty, head wrap and neck scarf.

Check out the pics below, let me know if you like it!

Purple reign!

via Daily Prompt: Patience

I am so over winter!

My patience is shot and I am jonesing for the season of warm sunshine, well actually any temperature over 60 degrees will do!

So in an effort to pacify my impatience, I pulled out my wedding pics from my niece fabulous wedding last summer and I’m sharing them with you all. (bonus pic of my family)

By now it should be crystal clear that color plays a major role in my wardrobe, that’s why I opted for this purple jumpsuit.

Enjoy !!!!

ps. I absolutely enjoyed rocking this jumpsuit, it worked perfectly for this day wedding!

Shoes indeed!

via Daily Prompt: Suddenly

So it suddenly dawned on me while contemplating what my next post would be that an outfit is only as strong as the shoes worn with it!

Of course we each have different taste and individual style, so our shoes will be a reflection of that. Our mood, the season and our destination will also determine our shoe pick; formal or casual, winter or summer, trendy or classic, daytime or night time.

The beautiful thing is the variety of choices we have when it comes to footwear; boots vs. shoes, heels vs. flats, sandals vs. pumps, bright color vs. basic, and the list goes on and on………..

Check out four of my outfits and the footwear I chose to rock with them, enjoy!

ps. always, always have pedicured toes whenever you are wearing open toe shoes!

Colors, Colors, Colors

via Daily Prompt: Fact

I am often intrigued by the different cultures that makes up our world, and the various style of clothing that are considered fashionable.

In some countries or regions fashion is enhanced by jewelry, others by face painting and in other regions by headwraps and scarves.

The fact is, we are all different, but in every culture there is the use of color that makes both traditional and trendy outfits come alive!

Lets face it, colorful expression is one of the common threads that connects us all to each other.

Lets take a trip around the world in color!

Our world in color

So NOT your Typical winter color

via Daily Prompt: Typical

Blacks, browns, and dark grays are some of the typical dark colors worn during the winter months and usually as the weather lightens, so does the colors of our wardrobe.

I am bored sick of these blah colors, so guess what, I stepped out of the norm, and rocked a red-orange pants on a chilly winter afternoon in March. This bright rorange (red + orange) color as my 7 year old son coined it, was so not your typical winter color!

It commanded attention wherever I went, because in reality I was brave enough to step into my own lane.

The best thing is that it is corduroy so my legs were warm!

Fashionable and functional.

Working on the winter blues

Girl! I am soooo tired of the cold weather, and I am seriously jonesing for some warmth and color!

After spending months wearing winter darks, I decided to go completely left and colorize my out fit.

I started with bright cobalt blue tights and constructed two very cool outfits around it. I know it was a stretch but I wanted to push myself and see where the color took me.

The day was warmish so I wore knee length jeans and sneakers. I also dabbled with another outfit centered around my fabulous blue tights and grey jersey skirt.

I know all my ladies will not be so brave, but if you dare to be, join me in the pursuit of life in color!

ps. my tights came from Old Navy
